Bike Safety Program, partners Keith King State Farm Insurance, Ottawa Police,
Franklin County EMS, Ottawa Rotary and American Eagle Outfitters teach safety and
CIS of Ottawa provides a free bike helment.

BrilliantBookworms includes a field trip to the public library to find out all it
has to offer.

Disability Awareness Program, partner is Kansas Youth Empowerment Academy who share
the abilities of people with disabilities.

food for the weekend provided by Harvesters and CIS of Ottawa
YouthFriends
mentoring program for kindergarten through twelfth grade – (parent contact will be made for this program before it begins)
Living Leadership Programs
selected students are involved in leadership activities that promote giving back to the community and tying what
they learn in school to what they volunteer to do
Spring Fling Event
Kindergarten through fifth grade open gym activity
Kick Up your Heels for Christmas
partnering with Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa University and Ottawa Girls’ Club, shoes are given to those kindergarten through twelfth grade young people who need them
OPET
Ottawa Public Education Trust gives scholarships to teachers who need funding for innovative and far reaching ideas
Toothpaste/Toothbrush Campaign
toothpaste and brushes are collected for Salvation Army Angel Tree bags
Dental Programs
Partnering with Douglas County Dental Clinic, students with medical cards can receive their dental screenings here in Ottawa and parents can make appointments with the clinic for follow up work
Resource and Readiness Fair
Partnering with ECKAN, school materials are collected for kindergarten through twelfth grade students and booths with programs from all over the community are all in one place
