Kick Up Your Heels for Christmas
Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa University, and Wal-Mart teamed up this year to provide shoes to area children. Thanks to the support of our generous partners, we were able to give away over 350 pairs of shoes and socks.
Clifford the Big Red Dog
On May 12th Clifford the Big Red Dog visited Lincoln Elementary to talk to the 1st grade students about how to “BE BIG” in the community. He shared ideas on how to be respectful, be kind, and think of others.

Brilliant Bookworms
Our 3rd grade students are given a tour of the Ottawa Library and are introduced to the various resources available to them there.
Each child also recieves a library card.
Ace Readers
Communities In Schools of Ottawa has partnered with Future Visions to provide tutoring sessions for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. The program is called Ace Reader Pro. This year the 4th graders in the Reach for the Stars Architecture Unit have been busy learning about and creating minature homes.
